Ozark Mountain Hoe-Down
In Branson? GREAT! You're only 35 scenic miles from the
Ozark Mountain Hoe-Down!
The Ozark Mountain Hoe-Down will begin their 27th consecutive season in Eureka Springs on Friday, March 7, 2008.
The Hoe-Down is coming off of a season that many have claimed as the best season ever at the Hoe-Down. So, how do they react? By making it even bigger and better in 2008! Don't believe it? Keep watching the web as the Hoe-Down continues to bring new and exciting features that we can't even mention yet! All we can say is the Hoe-Down is going to be giving back to the audience members this year, and we can't wait to show you how!
The long standing tradition continues of providing not only the hottest pickers in the area, but also the kind of comedy that will have you repeating the punch lines for days. It's an all around "feel good" kind of show that will leave you ready to come back for more.
Last year the Hoe-Down lived up to their audience's expections when they said "This year's show could possibly be the best yet!" Returning guests could not have agreed more, and many came back several times - one couple even came back 3 times in one week!
Once again the Hoe-Down has made it a priority to make 2008 even better. All of the same faces from 2007 will still be on stage again in 2008, with a new variety of bluegrass, a little classic country mixed in with some new, lots of great Gospel music, hilarious comedy from P. Nutt, Granny, Girl, and the biggest burst of energy one stage can hold!
The 2008 cast is Randall George (lead guitar and drums), DaWayne George (bass guitar), Dusty Wilson (drums and vocals), Barb Childress (keys and vocals), Lee Hendrix (keys and vocals) Eddie Snow (steel guitar and banjo), Ted Snow (guitar and vocals), Leslie Wright (vocals), Jay Mischel (sound and lights), and we can't forget P. Nutt, Granny, and Girl!
The show kicks off with some hot bluegrass pickin' at 7:30pm, followed by a visit from P. Nutt and Granny. The main show begins at 8:00pm with high energy, toe-tappin' music right from the start! Just when you think you've seen the best show the Ozarks has to offer, the Hoe-Down saves the best for last with the most powerful patriotic segment ever performed on this stage.
Stop by early to have hot dogs and ice cream and enjoy the Ozarks from P. Nutt's Patty-O! There are always surprises on the Patty-O, including special guests and even karaoke on some weekends. Children under 12 are admitted free, and Jeff Thach of Thach Photography will be taking souvenir photos every evening. Be sure to check the photos online to see if P. Nutt "caught" you having fun at the Hoe-Down!
